Police think shooting gang-related

It started out Saturday night as a private Christmas party, in space rented out in Da Nang Restaurant...It would end early Sunday morning in a fight that began in the restaurant dining room and moved into its parking lot, at 1556 N. Broadway. Outside, a series of gunshots woke neighbors and left one man fatally wounded and another seriously wounded. As cars scattered from the lot, one struck a third man, leaving him with a compound leg fracture.

Although police don't know what started the violence, they think it was gang-related because a number of gang members were present, Wichita police Lt. Todd Ojile said Monday. The incident involved two groups — but not rival gangs, Ojile said.

Also Monday, police identified the man who died as Eric Pou, 25, of Wichita.
