Kansas Sports Hall to close Sunday to prep for move to Boathouse

The Kansas Sports Hall of Fame will close its Old Town location at 238 N. Mead on Sunday to prepare for an eventual move to the Wichita Boathouse.

A date has not been set for the opening of the hall's new location, said Ted Hayes, president of the sports hall.

In June, the Wichita City Council approved a proposal to move the hall of fame to the Wichita Boathouse on the east bank of the Arkansas River near downtown.
