Cessna planning more layoffs

More layoffs and a two-week plant shutdown are in the works at Cessna Aircraft, the company told employees Tuesday ... "I've never seen any situation as dynamic as this," Cessna chairman and CEO Jack Pelton said in an e-mail to workers ... The economic turmoil has led to additional order deferrals and cancellations, company officials said. As a result, Cessna has readjusted its production rates downward for 2009 and 2010 ...
