Parents can now enroll Wichita students online

WICHITA — For the first time, parents who have children returning to Wichita schools in August have the option to enroll their students online ... Some schools offer online enrollment to allow parents to complete standard enrollment forms, pay for enrollment fees and for school meals and fill out free and reduced-priced lunch forms from a computer, according to the district ... Dubai-based Emirates airline announced Tuesday it has ordered another 32 A380 superjumbo jets from Airbus, giving the European planemaker a boost as it strives to make financial gains on its giant plane ... The latest order, with a list price of $11.5 billion, means Emirates has now signed up for a total of 90 A380s. It said the planes would be delivered by 2017 ... A Topeka homicide suspect who is accused of shooting a Marshall County deputy Monday before taking refuge in a stranger's home gave up Tuesday morning after an overnight standoff ... Steven A. Macomber, 43, surrendered around 6:45 a.m. after spending the night at a woman's home in Blue Rapids, a town of about 1,400 residents 40 miles north of Manhattan ...
